How do I care for my compression garments?
Support stockings can be hand washed or machine washed using hot water to remove body oils from the support stockings. Be sure to rinse the stockings thoroughly. Use any of the following products to wash your support stockings: Wisk, ERA, ALL, Ivory Snow, Jolastic Support Stocking Washing Solution, Sigvaris Support Stocking Washing Solution. Do not use Woolite, Dreft, or any detergent that contains BLEACH to wash your support stockings. If thigh high stockings have silicon or dots in the band, scrub them with a soft brush such as a toothbrush, about every two weeks. -Support Hose start to loose their elasticity after about 4 months. -Do not put support stockings on legs right after you apply lotion. Apply lotions at night and they will be absorbed before you put your stockings on.
